Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley (170 km - 4 h)
You are going to meet your guide at Manas International Airport and he/she will accompany you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). The first day of your staying in our country starts with a delicious and welcoming a breakfast in Dungan (Chinese Muslims) guesthouse. If you arrive too early we offer you a nice room with comfortable beds and you will be able to take a shower. The half day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square, dedicated in honor of deceased in the Great Patriotic War), National philharmonic and Manas Square, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. After transfer to Chon Kemin valley, on the way visiting the Burana Museum, a site of a medieval city of Balasagun, the capital of the Karahanid Kaganate, a Turkic dynasty of the 11 century. Dinner and overnight in Ashuu guesthouse.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga (150 km - 4 h)
You will have a time for photo session after the breakfast. This is for you to capture all the beauty of Chon Kemin Valley, large alpine valley. Here you are going to see Kyrgyz nomads living in their yurts and sheep just like as it was 1000 years ago among the Tian Shian Mountains, fast rivers, pine trees. Before our departure to Tamga village, we will stop not far from Chon-Kemin in order to walk 2 hours in Konorchek labyrinths, where at the end of the gorge you will watch you a magic view where of red mountains. Then we will have a picnic there. Afterwards we continue our trip to Tamga village that is situated on the southern shore of Issik Kul lake, the second largest mountain lake in the world and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan. There is a sanatorium in Tamga where soviet astronauts rehabilitated and trained their skills. The altitude and climate was ideally good for them. On the way to Tamga we will stop by at our famous Talgat - a hunter with golden eagles. He will tell us about his birds. After it we can do some photos of the eagles. After arrival in Tamga village you will have sometime to swim in the lake. Accommodation in Askar guesthouse (1600m).
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Dunguromo Pass (3570 m) - Dugurotmo gorge (5 hours)
We start driving to Barskoon village right after the breakfast, where we are to visit the family who are occupied with manufacturing yurts. Here you will find out many interesting facts about these felt nomadic dwellings. Then we continue our way to Barskoon gorge, one of the most picturesque pleces in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too. There is one of the highest waterfalls in Kyrgyzstan (alt. 2500 m) that is 60 meters high. There we will see the stone of astronauts, where is a sign of the first man in the space - Urii Gagarin. From this very place we start our trekking. We will have an ascent to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing through which we find ourselves in a picturesque valley Dunguromo. After a few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share our impressions of the first day. Night is in tents at the altitude of 2850 m.
Day 4: Dungurotmo gorge - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Chokolu Lake (7 hours)
Today we have to get up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. Our today's hike is going to be « vertical » towards the Chokolu Lake over Zauka Pass. This pass is a historical one that used to be a part of the great Silk Road. The most outstanding travelers passed this place in the ancient time: Ella Mayart 1932, Semenov Tyanshyanskii 1856, the Chinese Muslims came from China 200 years ago. The landscape is relatively flat, from vegetation prevails fine grass and moss, the climate is close to the tundra climate. Coming closer to the lake we will set up our camp for the night. Night is in tents at the altitude of 3800 m.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Dzukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge
We start getting prepared for the hike right after the breakfast. We have to immerse all our equipment and belongings on horses. We have to get back to the Zauka pass and after passing it we will arrive in the Dzhukuu valley. Then we go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we up a camp for the night. On the way we meet with Kyrgyz nomads who live here in summer time. Kyrgyz nomads are considered to be the most hospitable people in Central Asia. We will try Kyrgyz cheese there and Kyrgyz beer (fermented mare's milk). Dinner and overnight is organized in tents at the altitude of 2770 m.
Day 6: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
We get prepared for the hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu early in the morning. Reaching the foot of the pass, we will make a small halt for lunch and then we will have to climb to the Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m). After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge where is the warm mineral springs. Here we are given an opportunity to take a bathe with warm mineral water which we all dreamed of for now 4 days of our trek. After good bath our guide will offer you a local beer but not Kyrgyz beer, this time is real Kyrgyz beer. Dinner and overnight in tents at an altitude of 2500 m.
Day 7: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge
Right after the breakfast in the morning we will go in the direction of Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley. First of all we reach the territory of Issyk Kul forestry that is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to climb to the pass Orto Bulak (2900 m). Then we come to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night. This place is renowned for its incredible beauty and stunning views of mountains. During the dinner we share our sweet impressions of the passed day. The night you will spend in tents at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 8: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
After a strengthening breakfast we start our trekking in the direction of the picturesque valley - ChonKyzyl Suu. First we have to go down to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge through the territory of forestry. Then we will go along the Djily Suu Mountains and finally we arrive in Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Here we enter the area of Ak Tash. Then we go up about three miles up to the warm mineral springs where we will again be able to take a warm bath and relax. The region is famous for its beauty: nomads indescribable mountains make you feel like you above the whole world! Overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2150 m.
Day 9: Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Kok Dzhayyk Pass (2700 meters) - Jeti Oguz gorge
This is the last day of trekking. Right after breakfast we will head in the direction of the Jeti Oguz gorge - one of the most popular places to visit in our country. First, we went down to the place of Ak Tash, where we cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River). Then we begin the ascent to the pass Kok Dzhayyk. The road will pass through a small pine forest, which will impress you with its silence. It makes an impression as if the whole world looks at you from there. After the forest we will look at the Jeti Oguz gorge which will impress you for sure. After a couple of kilometers we reach the yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk where we stay for the night. Dinner and overnight in yurts at the altitude of 2300 m.a.s.l.
Day 10: Jety Oguz gorge - Karakol (30 km - 1 h)
As soon as we are done with our breakfast our journey will continue in the direction of the capital of Issik Kul region. Check-in hotel Elita**. Today we are going to visit Prjvalsky Memorial Complex, devoted to the prominent Russian explorer of Central Asia . To understand better the Kyrgyz life of the 19th century we will visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the wooden mosque, made in the Chinese style. In the evening we drive to Dyishin village, where we will have dinner with Chinese Muslims, here they are called Dungans. They came from Dunhuang, central China. Chinese Muslims came to Kyrgyzstan 200 years ago when it was a war between Chinese of different religions. They are good agricultural masters and very famous for national cuisine. We will try different kinds of salads and of course national dungan bread. You will After dinner we will come back to hotel.
Day 11: Karakol - Kochkor village (330 km - 6 h)
Early in the morning we move to the Kochkor village, where we can discover new national traditions and customs, witness the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and visit a handicraft museum. Also we will see and participate in the process of assembling a yurt, a traditional felt house of nomadic people. In the evening you will listen to the Folk-concert. On the way to Kochkor village we will drive along the north shore of Issyk Kul Lake - it means you will see the "pearl of Central Asia" form all sights! Dinner in a yurt and carpet-making show is organized especially for you. Overnight is in a guesthouse.
Day 12: Kochkor - Bishkek
Transfer to Bishkek. Accommodation is provided in a guesthouse. The day is spent for shopping or walking in the city.
Day 13: Bishkek - Europe
You meet your guide again at the hotel at the pick up time arranged earlier according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
